The project aims at looking into the new possibilities and the new digital and socio-economical environment of journalism; also, at the specification of quantitative indices and correlations, as well as the qualitative investigation of the field between the new ecosystem of journalistic content production, by the SNSs, and marketing techniques or between the political economy of the new internet reality and the new digital tools that are available to journalists today.
The research project is under development by members of the AMI, while since the fall of 2019 an observatory and an archive of Greek digital media has been established by the AMI.
Both the AMI and the researchers of the field “New journalism, the internet and SNSs” are members of the European organization SOMA (Social Observatory for Disinformation and Social Media Analysis).
