Charalampos (Babis) Kyprianidis was born in 1980 in Thessaloniki, Greece his family origin is from the ancient greek town of Amphipolis but he was raised in the city of Komotini. He studied at the University of Macedonia and graduated from the Department of Economics. He was an active member of the student community participating in European and international institutions, working on issues of international relations, education and culture. In recent years he is working as a business consultant and tax advisor managing his own office in the city of Komotini. He owns A’ class certification on accounting and he is a member of Rodopis Accountants Association. For six years he was an elected member of the board of the Economic Chamber of Greece, serving as Vice President and financial supervisor of the regional department.

During his student years he developed a great passion for sports and technology that led him on developing several sports websites, but over the years this passion transformed into love for photojournalism. From 2012 he is working as a professional photo reporter on politics and sports photojournalism. He is a member of the Hellenic Photojournalists Association and he is working as a correspondent of all major greek photo press and news agencies, in the region of Eastern Macedonia and Thrace. He had media accreditation for big sports events in Greece and Europe and he always try to participate as much as he can on the photojournalists community. Since September 2016 he is an MSc student in Communication and New Journalism at the Open University of Cyprus.
