Dimitrios Ktenidis was born in 1967 in Thessaloniki. In 1991 he obtained the bachelor in economics (University of Macedonia). Next year he completed successfully his studies for the MSc in Economics (University of York). Later on, he obtained two more master degrees: Total Quality on Public Administration (University of Macedonia), Communication and new Journalism (Open University of Cyprus). In addition, he got a bachelor degree in European Civilisation (Open University of Greece). Concerning his professional experience, ιn 2005 he took a post in the municipality of Levadia. Next year he was assigned a job in the budget department of the municipality of Thessaloniki. In 2012 he worked in the European Commission as a seconded national expert and next year he established the internal audit unit in the municipality of Thessaloniki. Today he works as a Financial Officer in the European Commission. He is a member of various committees: Europe 2020 of the Committee of the Regions, the Greek Institute of Internal Auditors, the Project Management Institute. Finally, he provides guidance to potential candidates for the European Union Institution’s personnel selection procedures.
