
Dionysis Panos is Assistant Professor at the Department of Communication and Internet Studies of Cyprus University of Technology. He holds a Doctorate, a Masters’ and a BA in Communication and Media from the University of Athens and a BA in Law from Democritus University of Thrace. His recent research work focuses mainly on Social Media use and Web communication, Media and Terrorism and Memory and Communication Technologies. Currently he participates as Head Researcher in European research projects HORIZON2020 “RE-PAST” and “CO-INFORM”.
Dionysis Panos also has extensive experience on Political Communication area. Being head of Communication Department on one of the most prestigious Research and Political Communication agencies in Greece he carried out numerous major political communication projects and later on, as independent Political Communication Consultant, he collaborated with many key-personalities on Greek politics during 1998-2008. During 2010-2011 he served as Member of the Board of Directors (acting Vice President) of Greek National Tourism Organization (GNTO) and during 2015-2016 he served as Member of the Board of Directors of Greek National Center for Security Studies (KEMEA).
