Valia Kaimaki (Ph.D.) is a journalist. She has been with the National Greek radio-television (ERT) as a radio producer since 1997. She has also been the director of the Greek edition of the French monthly review ͞Le Monde diplomatique͟ since its first publication in 1998. She also contributes as a columnist in various publications. She is the author of the first Greek book about media and the Internet (1996). Since September 2013, she has been Teaching Stuff at the Open University of Cyprus, teaching Social Media and Journalism at the Postgraduate Program «Communication and New Journalism». She is a specialist in new media – social media and journalism.
